This iris analysis had us talking a lot about the nervous system.
This client was overcoming some exposure to horrific toxins that she had little to no control over, and was experiencing nervous system toxicity.
She has done *so* much in terms of healing, seeking out all the different natural modalities.
Do you ever get overwhelmed by the never ending options and "solutions" the holistic field offers?
I do.
When that happens, I stop and take a deep breath. Actually, I take many deep breaths.
When it comes to the nervous system, knowing a lot of information from a cognitive perspective, won't heal your anxiety, or dysregulation.
In fact, it can often make it worse.
Sensitive people, such as my client here, are more inclined to experience sensory overload because they feel the stressors of life at a deeper level than most.
If you combine that with nervous system toxicity/dysregulation, it can lead to anxiety, panic attacks, and headaches.
Certainly anyone can experience sensory overload. If you've ever raised toddlers you know exactly what I'm talking about. But when you're born with a highly sensitive nervous system, you'll experience it more frequently and more intensely.
Grounding. Breathwork. Sunshine. Sleep. Exercise. Herbs. These are all things that nourish the nervous system.
