Disease Begins In The Gut

Hippocrates said "All disease begins in the gut".

When we have constipation and bowels that are not moving several times a day, we are essentially auto-intoxicating ourselves daily, as we reabsorb the toxins and waste we're supposed to be getting rid of.

This is a very easy way to build disease.

The iris can show us individuals who are prone to constipation and sluggish bowels, whether it be because of tight narrow areas of the intestines, or because of disturbed nervous system communication.

The eyes contain a landmark called the collarette. It's a circle that goes around the pupils.

I have traced it in both these eyes.

The collarette outlines the large and small intestines. The ascending and descending colon, along with the splenic and hepatic flexure, and the transverse colon, sigmoid, and rectum are all represented here.

The brown eye shows us a beautiful placement for the collarette. Not too close or far away from the pupil, indicates an individual genetically capable of having healthy daily bowel movements.

The blue eye shows us a different disposition.

Can you see how much closer to the pupil the collarette is?

It is especially tight {and broken} at the top and the bottom.

Top = transverse colon

Bottom = sigmoid colon.

This collarette tells the Iridologist and the individual that, genetically speaking, they are prone to constipation because of a possible narrowing of the bowels restricting fecal matter, and poor nervous system communication.

Recommendations for individuals who have this type of collarette include paying very close attention to their gut health and bowel transit time.

They are well suited to:

  • smaller more frequent meals
  • a diet full of water and fiber rich foods
  • yearly bowel cleanses
  • regular chiropractic adjustments
  • herbal/pancreatic bitters
  • adrenal support
